Final Plant Position
The single standardized position at the end of the plant and the start of the free takeoff. It is determined by the position of the bottom arm relative to the body with the top arm’s elbow pointing to the side.
The final plant position is the standardized position achieved at the end of the pole plant and the beginning of the free takeoff.
Its objective is to have the pole in position for the free takeoff to be completed. During the free takeoff the hips move forward between 0.60m and 1.20m, so the pole must be sufficiently far from the body to accommodate that range of movement.
In the m640 model it is a single position, without variation. It is determined by the position of the bottom arm relative to the body, with the top arm’s elbow pointing to the side. That, together with the pole in the box, sets the final plant position.
The bottom arm is fully extended without the elbow locking, with the hand grip at around chin level.
It is reached as the result of a combination of movements arriving at that position with the fewest motor units participating in the plant.
